CROSBY, Texas – A man is in the hospital after being shot in the chest Sunday afternoon in northeast Harris County, deputies said.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene in the 17500 block of Compass Rose Circle near Crow’s Nest Way around 1:30 p.m. and found a wounded man.
He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital by ambulance.
The man's estranged wife told deputies he showed up at the house and started pounding on the door. When she went outside, she said he grabbed her.
A friend inside the house ordered the estranged husband to leave. Instead, he went to his vehicle, retrieved a pistol and pointed it at the friend, according to the HCSO.
That's when the friend shot him.
No charges have been filed, but the case remains under investigation.
