SAN ANTONIO -- A 35-year-old man is facing a charge of sexual assault of a child for allegedly raping a family friend's daughter.
According to his arrest warrant, Jaime Deleon Ramos sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl inside her home back in December of 2013.
Investigators said the girl was sleeping with her cousins in the living room when Ramos allegedly picked her up, took her to another room and forced himself on her.
The young girl claims she tried to get away, but Ramos held her arms down, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
The girl reported the alleged assault to her grandmother and mother a month after the alleged assault.
Once authorities got involved, the mother told investigators that Ramos is from Guatemala and that he might try and leave the country.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Ramos on Wednesday and booked him into the Bexar County jail on a $75,000 bond.
