HOUSTON—A 37-year-old woman who is facing felony charges for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her former employer is also being sued in civil court, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

Ana Elena Ceja, 37, was charged with aggregate theft.

According to court documents, Ceja ripped off nearly $200,000 from Sapori Ristorante Italiano while she was working there as a part-time employee. She used a company credit card to rack up charges from 2009 up until the time she was fired in 2011.

In addition to the criminal charges, the company filed a civil suit to try and recover some of the money. Her bail has been set at $450,000.
