HOUSTON – Police arrested a Houston man accused of killing his family’s pet Chihuahua.
Jose Quintero went into his daughter’s room, grabbed the dog, took it into a bathroom and then threw it, police said.
The daughter and her mom then went to a neighbor’s house and called police.
When officers arrived, Quintero had already buried the dog in the front yard, investigators said.
Police said Quintero admitted throwing the pet, but said he didn’t mean to kill it.
There was no word on why he did it.
He was charged with felony animal cruelty.
