HOUSTON – A grand jury has decided there is not sufficient evidence to charge a Houston father, accused of leaving his baby in a parking lot, with child endangerment.
When he was arrested in May, Billy Davis said he would never hurt his 10-month-old son.
On Mother's Day Davis and his girlfriend, who is the baby’s mother, got into an argument in their car on West Road. The incident was captured on surveillance video. Witnesses said they saw the mom take the baby out of the car and set him in the parking lot in his car seat.
Davis said he drove off because he was trying to avoid trouble with the woman. At the time, he was on parole for a robbery charge.
