Elderly man found dead at south Houston home
HOUSTON – Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an elderly man who was found lying in the front lawn of his south Houston home.
Houston police said the 71-year-old man was found with blunt force trauma to the forehead at about 12:20 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Minnesota.
Family members told police they saw the man exit the front door of his residence and when he did not return they went to check on him and found him unresponsive. They administered CPR and called 911. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead on the scene.
A preliminary investigation shows no signs of foul play, police said.
The man’s identity was not released.
