HOUSTON -- Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man who broke into a northwest Harris County apartment and sexually assaulted a 63-year-old woman.

It happened in the early morning hours last Friday at an apartment complex located in the 10000 block of Old Bammel North.

The victim told deputies the man broke into her apartment by kicking in the patio door and then raped her. She told deputies the man threatened to kill her if she did not comply with his demands.

Deputies said the man fled on foot, but not before demanding money and other items from the apartment.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators released a composite suspect sketch Wednesday and said the man is described as black, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5-feet-9 inches to 6-feet-tall, with a big build and a large belly. The victim said the man also had marks underneath both eyes and that he was wearing a blue and white striped collar shirt, blue denim shorts, and black suede shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
