HOUSTON – Two people have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Porter, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said a woman called deputies around 8 a.m. Wednesday after arriving at her house in the 24300 block of East Terrace Drive and finding her front door had been forced open. When deputies arrived they found William Aragon in his bed dead with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
During the investigation, detectives learned an altercation occurred between the victim and a man identified as Kappy Joe on the morning that the victim’s body was found. Detectives obtained a murder warrant for Joe, as well Derica Shipley; a woman who deputies say was present at the time of the shooting.
Joe and Shipley were both arrested around 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 3800 Block of Wintergreen Drive in Atascocita. Two other individuals at the location were arrested for misdemeanor warrants and were not believed to be involved in the murder investigation.
Joe and Shipley were booked in at the Montgomery County Jail on charges of murder.
