DEER PARK, Texas -- Police said they discovered nearly 2 million explicit images of children on a man's computer. Deer Park detectives said it is their largest child porn bust ever.
George Hollis, 24, has been charged with five counts of possessing child pornography. Investigators said his computer and hard drives were filled with sexually explicit pictures of kids; police estimate the victims ages are between 6 and 16.
Police said they were called to Hollis' home by his own parents because they believed he was on drugs and having a mental breakdown.
When police got to the home, they searched his bedroom closet and said they discovered a computer displaying child porn.
According to detectives, the hard drive was sent off to a secret service lab where investigators uncovered the images.
"All the indications that we got were that he was strictly doing this stuff on the Internet," said Lt. Earl Morrison of the Deer Park police department.
Hollis' uncle says his nephew has had mental problems before, but his parents never imagined he was downloading child porn.
"If they would have had any thoughts [about that], they would have taken his computer away from him," said Dennis Hollis. "They're devastated."
Hollis is being held in the Harris County jail on a $150,000 bond.
