HOUSTON -– Police said three suspects took their chances and returned to the scene of a crime to steal cigarettes at a Houston CVS store.
According to officers with the Houston Police Department, it all started around 2 a.m. Friday when three men were spotted breaking into a CVS on Cavalcade at Irvington Boulevard. Police said the men made it through the front door but couldn’t get past a set of burglar bars inside.
A store manager was called to the store, and police said he locked the business back up. Around 4:45 a.m., however, the same robbers apparently came back to the store with more tools and forced their way in.
Surveillance video showed three men wearing masks running into the store and taking packs of cigarettes, dropping some as they ran back out into the parking lot.
Police said the men appeared to be the same suspects responsible for a similar crime at a nearby Foodarama grocery store.
