AUSTIN – A cash reward of up to $3,000 is now being offered for information leading to the capture of a high-risk offender, The Texas Department of Public Safety said.
DPS has added Kevin Patrick Stoeser, 40, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list. Investigators said Stoeser has a violent criminal past and is wanted for escape from federal supervision and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Stoeser poses a significant risk to the community for violent sexual offenses, according to DPS. In 2002, he was convicted of numerous sexual crimes, including sodomy, production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
He received a 13-year sentence and was released in 2011, but he was returned to prison six months later for violating his sex offender treatment instructions.
Then on Oct. 24, 2013, Stoeser escaped from federal supervision in Austin.
Stoeser has tattoos on both forearms, upper right arm and right leg, and is 5-feet-9 inches tall, and weighs approximately 170 pounds.
