HOUSTON--A man is dead and his girlfriend in the hospital after a shooting in west Houston Saturday.
Investigators say the gunmen shot the couple just before noon at the man’s apartment in the 2200 block of Hayes. The suspects took off in a red car, possibly a Toyota Corolla.
It’s believed the victims may have known the shooters.
"There’s not forced entry so it appears they were allowed in the apartment and something happened, some kind of dispute or what have you and that’s when the shooting happened," said Sergeant Will Gonzales of Houston homicide.
Investigators are waiting for the girlfriend to recover, hoping she can tell them more about the shooters.
