HOUSTON – A local man who says DNA evidence proves he’s innocent of a burglary says he deserves to be exonerated.
Reginald Matthews spent 14 years in prison for burglary and he’s been on parole for nine years.
But he claims he saw a file in the district attorney's office that says DNA found on clothing at the scene of the crime doesn’t match him.
Community activists are calling on the district attorney's office to help Matthews clear his name.
The district attorney's office says it’s looking into the case.
