CONROE, Texas – Police are investigating a shooting from early Sunday morning in north Conroe that left four people wounded with one still in a hospital.
Police responded to an aggravated assault in progress at 1 a.m. at the 1200 block of Pleasant Drive and found four people with gunshot wounds, police said in a press release.
Witnesses said that two groups had a verbal altercation earlier in the evening and one group left the area.
Later, some of the members of the group returned and fired several rounds into a crowd of people as they drove by, police said.
Police were able to track down the suspect vehicle and arrested the sole occupant and confiscated a handgun.
Three of the four victims were treated and released and the fourth victim is in stable condition at Conroe Regional Medical Center.
