CONROE, Texas – A Conroe ISD teacher turned himself in Friday after he was charged with soliciting a minor online, deputies said.
The Montgomery County Constable’s office conducted a month-long investigation before a warrant went out for 57-year-old David Victorick.
According to Conroe ISD, Victorick began his teaching career in 1978. He has been a biology teacher at College Park High School since 2005, where he also coached golf and basketball.
“It’s sad, it’s sad, it’s very sad that we have to deal with it. Kids are already under enough stress just to make it in life,” Mark Hayes, a parent, said.
Conroe ISD released the following statement:
“It is the district’s understanding that the alleged offense took place over the summer months and that Victorick did not meet the alleged victim through any of his responsibilities as a Conroe ISD employee.”
Victorick is on administrative leave, and according to the district, he has submitted his paperwork for retirement.
