HOUSTON -– Police were called to a convenience store west of downtown early Friday after masked men crashed a truck through a wall to steal an ATM.

According to the Houston Police Department, it was around 3 a.m. when an older Dodge pickup truck smashed into the side of an Exxon along the Katy Freeway at TC Jester.

A clerk in the store at the time said six men wearing masks jumped out of the truck, loaded up the store’s ATM, and then sped away. The clerk was not injured.

Police said surveillance cameras may have recorded the entire crime.

This is just the latest in a series of ATM smash-and-grabs plaguing the Houston area.
