Carjackers arrested after crime spree that began in The Heights

HOUSTON — A group of suspected carjackers was arrested after a violent crime spree, police said.

It started in the Heights when the four men took a couple’s maroon SUV.  Investigators said the men then tried to steal a black truck and shot that driver in the face.

The victim’s condition is unknown.

The crime spree ended minutes later when the theives crashed their SUV into a flat bed trailer, police said.

Two of them were critically injured and the other two were taken into custody.
