HOUSTON -- A bomb threat caused the evacuation of Wheatley High School in east Houston late Friday morning, officials told KHOU 11 News.
The all-clear was given around 11:30 a.m., and students were allowed to go back inside.
It was about an hour earlier the evacuation was called for after some type of bomb threat was received, according to a spokesman for the Houston Independent School District.
HISD said its district police along with K9 officers and the Houston Fire Department were called to the scene. Bomb sniffing dogs canvassed the school, but nothing suspicious was found.
No further details about the threat itself were immediately available.
