HARRIS COUNTY -- Police are trying to identify the woman who was found naked on the property of a mulch company in northwest Harris County.
Officials say the body was discovered Tuesday afternoon in the 12200 block of Cutten Road.
Workers at Living Earth, a landscaping supplier, discovered the woman’s body toward the back of the property as they were clearing out trees.
Harris County homicide detectives and the Medical Examiner’s Office left the scene after more than six hours of investigating here near the Willowbrook Mall.
Officials said evidence gathered so far points to foul play, but a cause of death has not been determined.
The victim was found wearing no clothes, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office believes her body may have been ditched at the scene about a week ago.
Investigators said the body was discovered on a chunk of land recently purchased by Living Earth.
It’s unclear if she had been buried or if she was lying on top of the dirt.
Investigators said she had a tattoo on her lower back that said “princess.”
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000 or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
