HOUSTON – A burned body was discovered early Sunday after firefighters put out a car fire in northwest Houston, police said.
According to the Houston Police Department, a passerby saw smoke coming from a parking garage on Northwest Central just north of Highway 290 at 4 a.m. The Houston Fire Department was called in to put out the flames.
When the flames were extinguished, firefighters discovered a badly burned body in the backseat of the car, police said.
HPD Homicide has been called to investigate the scene.
