HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and investigators are hoping some unique stolen jewelry could lead them to a group of burglary suspects.
Over Memorial Day Weekend, police say three suspects burglarized a home in the Broad Acres subdivision in Bellaire.
The suspects entered through glass doors in the rear of the property and meticulously combed the home for valuables.
They even used tools found in the house to get into locked cabinets.
The suspects got away with precious jewerly, coins and other property totaling an estimated $250,000.
The stolen items include handcrafted, one-of-a-kind University of Houston-themed jewelry set with fine gems.
"The pieces of jewelry are very unique and recognizable. Any citizen may have seen a person in possession of these stolen items. A citizen might even have received the stolen items from another person. Anyone with information about who burglarized the home, or who is or was in possession of this unique jewelry, is asked to call Crime Stoppers," said Katherine Cabaniss, Executive Director, Crime Stoppers.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 or submit their tip online at crime-stoppers.org.
