HOUSTON—Authorities were staging for a drug raid at a downtown warehouse late Wednesday night.
Investigators told KHOU that an investigation by Precinct 6 Constables led detectives to a warehouse at Lamar and Palmer, where a large amount of marijuana is suspected to be stored.
K-9 units reportedly picked up on the strong scent of marijuana.
As of 10:30 p.m., several law enforcement units were waiting outside for a warrant to be signed by a judge before making entry.
It was unclear at the time whether anyone owned the building or if had been abandoned. No one has been detained in connection to the investigation.
Authorities expect the operation to last overnight and possibly into the morning
