FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — The search is on for three home invaders, who terrorized a family while they were having dinner Wednesday night in a Fort Bend County neighborhood.

The armed men went straight to the backdoor and busted out a window to get inside.

“It was like the whole street was lined in cop cars and there was crime scene tape all around the house,” Amando Queiroga, a neighbor, said.

The suspects barged in on a family while they were eating and began to ransack and rob the home. They even knocked down a 72-year-old woman and stole jewelry another woman was wearing.

The robbers also stole a cell phone that was found ringing in a yard across the street from Joyce Trigger’s home.

“I’m hoping it isn’t just any house they can find. I read on a website that it’s related to businesses those folks own. That makes me feel like it’s not going to be everybody,” Trigger said.

The family does own several businesses, but it’s not clear if any money was taken from the home in this tight knit community.

The three robbers went running past the Quierogas’ home, and at one point busted through a fence.

“I mean this is real surprising for us ‘cause this is a real quiet neighborhood. You never expect something like that,” Samuel Queiroga, a neighbor, said.
