HOUSTON – A man was in the hospital Saturday after police say he was shot five times during an attempted robbery in southwest Houston.
The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. at the Park Plaza apartments near the intersection of Westpark and S. Gessner.
According to authorities, the victim was in the parking lot of his apartment complex when an unknown number of suspects approached to rob him.
Police said the suspects then shot the victims five times before fleeing the scene.
The victim managed to get to his apartment and called 911. He was transported to Ben Taub and remained in stable condition.
