HOUSTON – An armed man wearing a mask held up a bank in the Upper Kirby area of Houston late Saturday morning, police said.
The robbery occurred around 11:30 a.m. at the JP Morgan Chase in the 3400-block of Richmond Avenue, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the man displayed a handgun and demanded money from tellers. He took an unknown amount of cash and left the bank.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
Police said the man fled in a maroon colored mini-van. He was described as an African American man, 28 to 34 years old. 5’8” to 6’ tall, and 160 to 190 pounds. He wore blue jeans, a blue jacket and was carrying a black handgun.
