GALVESTON, Texas -- Convicted killer Bartholomew Granger's contriteness has been short lived.

For the second straight day, the Houston man convicted of a slaying during a shooting spree last year outside the courthouse in downtown Beaumont has disrupted his punishment trial.

Granger apologized as the trial resumed Thursday morning, but the Beaumont Enterprise reports he started screaming later as his daughter testified about how he molested her. He also called the prosecutor a demon.

Granger was escorted from the Galveston courtroom.

He faces a possible death sentence.

The daughter, now 22, had testified against Granger last March at his sexual assault trial and earlier during the murder trial. He's said her testimony was false and prompted the shooting rampage a year ago.

A 79-year-old woman was killed and his daughter seriously hurt.
