HOUSTON – Alert and quick-thinking Amegy employees locked their doors Tuesday morning when they noticed some questionable characters in the bank parking lot, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Employees spotted three suspicious men outside the bank on Louetta at Kuykendahl around 11 a.m. One of the men was wearing a “Jason” mask, similar to the character in the “Friday the 13th” horror flicks. Not willing to chance it, the management decided to lock the doors for everyone’s protection, deputies said.

The suspects tried to enter the bank, but fled the scene when no one would let them inside. The vehicle they were seen driving was found abandoned a short distance from the bank.

Deputies said the vehicle had been reported stolen in Houston.

The suspects remain on the loose.
