ALVIN, Texas -- An Alvin High School art teacher has been charged with child with possessing child pornography.

Scott Burns was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Alvin city jail.

Investigators with the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force were tipped off that Burns had reportedly used former students for modeling images and paintings.

They determined that those models were all adults but during that search, stumbled on other images involving children.

Parents wonder if there might be a connection.

"That's creepy to me," said Alvin High parent Julie Garmom. "How long has he been doing this? How long has he been looking at these kids? How long has he been watching or coaxing? It's disturbing."

Alvin ISD officials said there is no indication that any current students are depicted on the illegal images.

Burns' bond was set at $60,000.
