HOUSTON -- Authorities issued an Amber Alert for a 9-year-old Harris County boy Thursday evening who was later found safe.
Police said Cameron Gokey was last seen at 12:30 p.m. when he was checked out of Krahn Elementary School by his mother, Allison Gokey. At the time, authorities said the mother was "emotionally unstable."
The Amber Alert went out just before 9:30 p.m., and around 10 p.m. a Willis hotel manager realized the mom was standing in his lobby. Police were called, but it was determined the woman had legal custody over the child.
After being questioned, Allison and her son were allowed to leave.
