3 robbers hold up IHOP in NW Houston

HOUSTON – An IHOP in northwest Houston was closed for several hours Thursday after an early-morning robbery.

The robbery happened at the Northwest Freeway and Hollister location at about 2:45 a.m., according to Houston Police.

Police say three masked suspects went into the restaurant and held up employees at gunpoint. They gunmen took money from the register and safe and then fled the scene.

Police say no customers were robbed, and no injuries were reported. A sign on the front of the restaurant indicated it would not reopen for business until 6 a.m.

A detailed description of the robbers and their getaway vehicle was not immediately provided.
