HOUSTON – Three men accused of stealing wire from a cell tower have been arrested and charged with criminal mischief, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies said.

On Monday at about 5:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 27000 block of Hardin Store Road, in reference to a suspicious vehicle call.  The caller told deputies that he witnessed three men removing wiring from a cell tower at the location.

As deputies were in route to the location they stopped a vehicle fitting the suspects’ description leaving the area, pulling a trailer loaded with wire.

Deputies then found that forced entry was made at the tower.  It was reported that it would cost approximately $25,000 to repair the cell tower.

Christopher Walley, Daniel Olsen and Donavin Cantwell were arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief.
