$25K reward offered for info on Santa Fe man's death

Investigators believe someone cut down a CenterPoint power pole, causing live wires to fall to the ground. Crime Stoppers is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Galveston County Crime Stoppers, in conjunction with CenterPoint Energy, is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person involved in a criminal act that reportedly led to the electrocution and death of a Santa Fe man.

Officials say someone is responsible for cutting down a CenterPoint Energy pole and vandalizing equipment that ultimately led to the death of Mason Curlee on Aug. 24. The 19-year-old was electrocuted by downed power lines after fishing west of Santa Fe High School off of Highway 6.
