HOUSTON – Pearland police arrested two teenagers Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on the campus of the University of Houston, the UH Police Department said.

Investigators said Christopher David Nettle, 18, and Joshua Layton Gammage, 18, were two of the three men who forced their way into a Cambridge Oaks Student Village apartment and robbed two UH students of their wallets.

James Manns, 18, was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery in connection with the crime.

Pearland police arrested Nettles and Gammage from their respective high schools and  both were both charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony.

The two suspects were transported to the Harris County Jail where their bond was set at $30,000 each.

A third resident of the apartment, 19-year-old Samy Gharbaoui, was not home at the time of the robbery, but was arrested Tuesday for his part in the crime, police said.

Gharbaoui allegedly sold drugs to one of the suspects earlier on the day of the crime. Gharbaoui was charged with drug possession.
