HOUSTON (AP) - Two men have been arrested after gunfire earlier this month outside a northwest Houston home killed a man attending a birthday party.
Houston police on Monday announced murder charges against 20-year-old Arlin Walbert Barrientos and 18-year-old Randy Larios. Both were being held without bond in the Jan. 4 slaying of 24-year-old Wayland Clark of Houston.
Police said Clark was fatally shot and two people were wounded around 1 a.m. while outside a house, located in the 6200 block of Nyoka, where several dozen people attended a party.
Investigators said shots were fired from a vehicle parked in a lot next to the residence. Police are trying to determine what prompted the gunfire.
Online Houston City Jail records do not list attorneys Barrientos and Larios, who were arrested Sunday.
