19-year-old charged with murder of Prairie View A&M student

After two Prairie View A&M students were killed in violent incidents in the last two days, Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith says the news is devastating and sickening.

WALLER COUNTY, Texas- Deputies have charged a 19-year-old with murder after a student who attended Prairie View A&M University was found dead in Waller County. 

The Waller County Sheriff's Office arrested Ayinde Williams, 19, on Friday night as a suspect in the death of 20-year-old Tristan Houston.

Houston's body was found earlier on Friday in a wooded area Hockley area along Clear Creek road. 

The victim attended Prairie View A&M university. He was reported missing on Wednesday, March 29. 

Police said the suspect was also a student at the university in his senior year. At this time, police have not released a motive behind the shooting as the investigation is ongoing. 

Authorities did say in a Facebook post that several people were being interviewed. 

Williams has been charged with murder. His bond has been set at $150,000.
