HOUSTON – A student at an alternative school facility in Aldine ISD was charged with assault and arrested after he allegedly threw a bottle at a teacher.

The incident happened at COMPASS, Aldine ISD's District Alternative Education Placement for students.

Jacob Castaneda, 17, reportedly threw a bottle of lotion at a female teacher who suffered an abrasion. She was not transported to the hospital.

The student was charged with assault on a public servant and remains in jail on a $5,000 bond.
