HOUSTON – The employees at a Radio Shack along the Southwest Freeway were caught off guard when two armed men walked in and robbed the place around lunch time on Friday.

“Look at my tire. Look at my rim,” said Marianne Haton, a woman who was sideswiped by the suspects.

Haton was caught in the middle of a police chase that started when two men holding guns, walked into the RadioShack and demanded cash and cell phones before taking off. The chase, which included a third suspect in a silver Cadillac ended in a crash on MacGregor.

No one was hurt at the RadioShack, but several people were sideswiped when the suspects were trying to get away.

“Coming off the freeway, next thing I know I’m getting slammed,” said Haton.

Another woman, Tomorrow Bell, was also sideswiped while sitting in her car. She sustained minor injuries to her wrist.

“I heard the police. They weren’t behind me, but they came and hit several cars and I was in the lane where he was trying to go and he just rammed into me,” said Bell. “So frightening, very frightening. At twelve something in the day this is not something you expect to end your Friday.”

One suspect was taken to Ben Taub Hospital with injuries. The other two suspects are on the loose. Police are looking to see if they are connected to any other robberies.
