HOUSTON – One man is dead after an altercation in the parking lot of a bar led to a shooting early Sunday in northwest Houston, police said.
The altercation happened at 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the El Tamarindo Café Bar in the 3800 block of Mangum Road, a detective with the Houston Police Department said.
Police said one suspect in a car with three others began shooting from the sunroof of the vehicle hitting the victim an unknown number of times. The suspects fled the scene in their car, which may have been a gray Nissan Altima.
The victim was taken by a friend to Hermann Hospital Northwest, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Harris County Medical Examiner.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Investigators suspect that the shooting may be gang-related.
