HOUSTON - Congresswoman Shiela Jackson Lee says more has to be done after a mass shooting at an apartment complex in northeast Harris County.
Four people were shot and two people were killed at the Haverstock Hills Apartment complex last weekend.
On Sunday, Lee announced she is working with apartment management and law enforcement to install a new gate at the complex, new lighting and security cameras.
"I hope this will send a message to apartment complexes across the country that their owners can come to the grounds and sit and understand what their needs are." she said.
Lee is also planning to hold a Town Hall meeting at the complex in a few weeks.
Police are still searching for the suspects involved in the shooting.
