Whataburger, Texans team up to tackle hunger

HOUSTON - The Houston Texans and Whataburger are joining forces to raise money to fight hunger in the Houston area.

This is the second year they've teamed up for Hunger Action Month. Their fundraiser benefits the Houston Food Bank which supports many Harvey victims.

So, how can you help?

Any customer who donates at least $1 at any Whataburger location in Houston will receive a coupon for a FREE Whataburger with the purchase of a medium fry and 32-ounce drink. The fundraiser lasts until Dec. 4 at 3 p.m.

“Whataburger is proud to partner with the Houston Texans to spread awareness about food insecurity right here in our Houston community,” said Whataburger Regional Director of Operations Mark Brown. “As a business that serves food daily, we want to help the Food Bank provide even more meals for families and individuals who need the support, including those affected in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.”

Last year, they raised $135,000 for the Houston Food Bank.
