Houston's Veterans Day Celebration set for Nov. 11

HOUSTON - The City of Houston is set to host its annual Veterans Day celebration on Friday, Nov. 11.

The event begins with the AT&T Veterans Job & Resource Fair and the U.S. Family Health Plan Veterans Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Hall.

The official ceremony is slated for 10 a.m. at City Hall where local heroes will be recognized, and a moment of silence will take place in memory of the signing of the WWI Armistice. The Parade of Heroes will follow at 11:30 a.m. and start at Dallas and Bagby before winding through downtown.
