ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Texas EquuSearch has filed a civil suit against Casey Anthony in a bid to recoup expenses incurred during the search for her daughter, Caylee.

The lawsuit was filed in Orange County, Fla., on Tuesday. Details about the lawsuit were not immediately available.

Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch, has said the organization spent more than $100,000 and galvanized more than 4,200 volunteers to look for Caylee Anthony back in 2008.

He said since then, the toughest part has been dealing with the legal system, including the subpoenas and private investigators, and the toll Anthony’s defense team took on his staff.

"The grief they put us through, the other families we neglected because we couldn’t help because of that," he said.

Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murder last week in the death of her 2-year-old daughter – a verdict Miller called "unbelievable."

Anthony was convicted of lying to law enforcement, but because of time served and good behavior, she’s set to be released on Sunday.

"I wouldn’t want to be in her shoes. Once she gets out there, there are plenty of people out there talking about being vigilantes and stuff," Miller said. "Now let’s only hope she won’t get pregnant again, let’s only hope."
