HOUSTON -- Pro-choice supporters showed up by the hundreds at Discovery Green to rally and listen to State Senator Wendy Davis.

"I think she's a hero," said Karina Herr. "I think she's a very brave woman. Anyone who can filibuster for that amount of time deserves respect."

The Tarrant County Senator has found fame after her 11 hour filibuster against the abortion bill. That bill would ban abortions after 20 weeks and create new, potentially practice-ending requirements for doctors who perform them.

"We are here because they refused to listen because we had thousands of people show up at the Texas Capitol who asked to be heard and were told no," Davis said.

Democrats admit they will probably lose the abortion battle this session but the fight isn't over.

"We are here because we are tired of politicians tying their political aspirations to consequences that hurt real people in our communities," Davis said.

With the spotlight on Davis these days, many are asking if she might make a run for governor so we asked her.

"Oh the 20 million dollar question," Davis said. "We have to get through the session first. We have a lot of work ahead of us in the next few days."
