PEARLAND, Texas -- There are new details in one of the worst cases of child abuse that prosecutors have seen in a long time.

Investigators allege to have more than 100 pictures and videos of 42-year-old Tad Costin sexually assaulting at least 15 girls as young as 4 years old.

Authorities brought the case to the attention of the media Monday in hopes of identifying those victims.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office confirms to KHOU that five potential victims have come forward since then.

Detectives will now be interviewing those potential victims, in hopes of continuing to build a case against Costin.

According to investigators, there is evidence that Costin did not act alone. That evidence includes a hand seen in some of the videos and shaky camera movement, which indicates someone was on the other side of the lens.

Sources told KHOU that Costin’s girlfriend is now being investigated. KHOU is not naming her because she has not been charged.

She currently lives in Pearland with Costin and her 5-year-old son.

Her parents tipped off authorities after finding a box of SD cards at their home in Liberty county. Her mother reportedly put one of those cards in a laptop and was shocked to see child pornography.

Investigators allegedly seized six hard drives and 80 DVDS containing graphic images of little girls during a search warrant at the couple’s Pearland home.

Detectives believe all of the videos were recorded at Costin’s former address near Clear Lake. Sources said investigators are working on obtaining a search warrant to gain access to that residence.

Costin is currently behind bars at the Harris County Jail and is being held without bond. Investigators said he has not been cooperating.

His next court date is set for January 2014.
