STAFFORD, Texas– A Stafford neighborhood got a gruesome wakeup call Friday when the body of a shooting victim was found in the back of a car.
A wrecker driver found the teen in the back seat of a Cadillac parked in the 4000 block of Sugar Grove Boulevard around 3 a.m.
18-year-old Andrew Nwokobia had been shot in the face.
Evidence led police to a house a few blocks away on Glen Meadow Drive.
Police say about a dozen young people were gathered at the home when the shooting happened.
After questioning witnesses, investigators arrested the driver of the Cadillac, 18-year-old Tiraye Robinson. He is charged him with manslaughter.
Residents who live next door to the home where the party took place said they are not surprised by what happened.
"They are terrible. They are always out here throwing parties, making all kind of noise and being a nuisance to the neighborhood," one neighbor said.
Children getting together, teenagers having parties, being noisy," agreed Janet Smith, another neighbor.
An 8-year-old girl was reportedly inside the house when the shooting happened, but it's not clear if she witnessed it.
Friends say Nwokobia had a heart of gold and had just graduated high school.
