HOUSTON—A north Houston family is pleading for help to find their loved one’s killer.
The body of Jose Hernandez was discovered at the Encore on the Bay apartments in Pasadena on August 17. It was wrapped in a plastic tarp, duct-taped and tossed next to a dumpster.
Police said he was beaten to death.
“Someone took my brother-in-law from us,” said Cecelia Hernandez. “They did it in a way he didn’t deserve to go.”
The victim’s mother is the most devastated of all.
“She said for her, without him she doesn’t think she will be in this world for long,” Hernandez said.
Jose Hernandez lived with his mother at the Central Apartments in the 4400 block of Fulton. He made sure she was safe and protected.
“What she wants is for them to find the killer,” said Hernandez, translating for Dominga Hernandez. “He was her right hand. He helped her.”
Jose Hernandez was last seen leaving with a coworker during the lunch hour on August 13.
Four days later, his body was discovered more than 30 miles away.
The family suspects the coworker had something to do with his death, but Pasadena police won’t comment.
“They stole his life and now we can’t get it back,” said Cecelia Hernandez.”We ain’t gonna’ have another tomorrow with him anymore.”
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.
