HOUSTON—Looking for a buzz?   Cadillac Coffee serves your morning cup of joe, with a retro twist.  The brand new food truck serves fresh-brewed, made-to-order, caffeinated specialty drinks, and baked-daily pastries.

“The Cajun sausage really spices it up a bit,” Customer Aaron Davis says of the boudin kolache.

New Orleans transplants Meghan Ackerman and Austin Lane whip up these big bold flavors in their teeny-tiny Airstream.

“Everyone told me you can’t put that great of espresso on a truck and I said, ‘Oh, I am not taking no for an answer,’” Ackerman explained.

Customers come back, not just for the coffee and baked goods, but also to see the slightly modified 1957 Series 62 Cadillac, which tows the trailer.  The classic car belonged to owner Ackerman’s uncle, and it now tows a lot of coffee, and a lot of family history.

Meghan’s creation, the “Burnout” is one of the car-themed menu items, and it is a customer favorite.  Two shots of espresso are topped with foamed milk, whipped cream, caramel, toasted marshmallow, and cinnamon graham cracker crumbs.
