HOUSTON -- Nine new “no frills” Aldi grocery stores opened this week across the City of Houston and its suburbs.
Aldi is marketed as a discount grocer without membership cards or coupons.
If you step inside their new Sugar Land location, you’ll find only five aisles of products. That’s because Aldi focuses on only the most popular products. Management says that’s how they can offer the lowest prices possible.
If you go to Aldi, you’ll want to bring your own bags. While you’re at it, bring a quarter too, because that’s how much the deposit costs for the shopping carts.
Aldi has more than 1,200 locations in the U.S. across 32 states.
