Six months after two Panamanian fishermen died at sea, an American cruise line says it has new information that contradicts claims that one of its ships ignored the fishing boat's distress signals.
Princess Cruises says it compared a video of the fishermen's boat with a photograph of a boat taken by birdwatchers aboard the Star Princess off Panama last March.
The cruise line says a video taken from the fishing boat that rescued Adrian Vasquez shows the name, Fifty Cent, painted on the bow of the boat he was on, and the boat photographed by the birdwatchers on the Star Princess does not. Princess Cruises says there are other differences as well.
Vasquez and the families of the two fishermen who died are suing the cruise line.
