DALLAS — Another X has appeared one week after the city of Dallas repaved the road on Elm Street where 'X's marked the site of President John F. Kennedy's assassination.
The 'X's that were covered up last week were not official marks made by the city. According to the Associated Press, it's a mystery who first wrote the 'X's.
The repaving occurred as the city prepared for a Dealey Plaza event honoring Kennedy Friday, 50 years after the president's assassination. Frank Librio, a spokesman for Dallas, said the city repaved the area to level out the street as a safety precaution.
The new X appeared on the street sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Once again, it's a mystery who marked the spot.
